Spring 2017 I released this video about starting to heal from my fiancé breaking off our engagement.
I had never opened up on camera like that before so I had no idea what kind of response I would get. It turned out to be overwhelmingly positive with people emailing from all walks of life with their stories of grieving and healing.
What people didn't know is that by the time that video aired, I had been doing my own meditation challenge and I had never felt better. I was in the middle of grieving the biggest loss of my life and even though it had only been one month, I felt strong and healthy and I had found purpose like I hadn't felt in a long time.
Don't get me wrong, there were still days that were incredibly tough, but I credit so much of my healing to my meditation practice, (which btw I was a total newbie to meditation at the time that this all went down).
Moral of the story? I got so many benefits from starting just a short daily meditation practice and I also know how hard it is to do anything without accountability, so I wanted to share some tools with my community in hopes we could all reap the magic of this practice.
